Inside Vancouver’s Sanctuary City Movement (VIDEO)
In this era of resurgent prejudice, most of it cloaked in official citizenship and immigration policies, many immigrants, especially undocumented ones, live in fear of discovery and deportation. In Vancouver, human rights groups and immigration advocates are fighting to make the city a “sanctuary city” for undocumented immigrants.
This short film accompanies a four-part Tyee series on sanctuary city for undocumented migrants, a policy which Vision-dominated city council is considering declaring.
