The news is good! I’ve fully restored my blog, Canadian Progressive World
, home of the provocative, unapologetic, activism-oriented and globally-conscious Canadian progressive!
In addition to your views, shares and other interactions, dozens of progressive blogs and other publications picked up the story. The story has received tremendous attention on the Internet and social media in the last 48 hours. A few stats:
- Individuals page views – 2 650
- Facebook Likes – 873
- Facebook Shares – 226
- Twitter shares – 115
- Google shares – 6
- Reactions (17 “Important”; 9 “Eye-opening”; 3 “Interesting”, 2 “awesome”, 1 “inspiring” and 1 “hot”) – 28
- Other shares (LinkedIn, Reddit, Bitly, etc) – 65
- Stumbleupon shares – 6
- Dozens of Comments (they’ve altogether disappeared and so I couldn’t count them.)
I’ve had to completely redesign the blog. But I tried as much as possible to recover the original social media-optimised user experience. As you can imagine, editing codes and files, arranging and re-arranging the furniture on the homepage wasn’t a walk in the park. In advance, Your feedback
And, if you’ve progressive NEWS, OPINION, ANALYSIS and EVENTS
to share, please drop me a quick note via this secure Contact Form
. Remember, the site’s content is user-driven and… you’re the news!
In the next twenty-four hours I’ll blog
about Parliamentary Budget Officer Kevin Page, the Bev Oda affair, etc. I’ll also throw in a “second sober thought” to an earlier blog on the right-leaning British magazine which blasted Harper
for his burgeoning tyranny. Turns out The Economist
actually insulted our intelligence.
In the meantime, please stay on the front-lines of the ongoing war to defend our democracy and its besieged institutions.
