Occupy activists from Wall Street to Yemen have a clear vision: an economic, social and political system that’s humane, fair and democratic. A system that serves the people, the planet and the future first before corporate interests.
The activists, collectively known as the 99 per cent, are exercising our democratic right to discuss the issues, and demand more rights, democracy and accountability, and economic and social justice.
Most importantly, Occupy is a movement called upon to fight for economic democracy in its greatest hour of need. It’s a genie that can’t be put back in its bottle.
