The association requested that the space be used for workshops, study and related educational activities, and that the tent be returned to the association after the occupation.
The Occupy Ottawa General Assembly accepted the donation and association’s requests.
The new space will add to the growing list of unique individual spaces the movement has created since the occupation began. These include: a media tent, donations tent, info tent, kitchen, tenants’ association and outdoor toilets.
There’s more evidence that the movement isn’t planning to leave Confederation Park any time soon. Plans to establish onsite showers and winterize the camp are under way.
