More than 750 Occupy Ottawa protesters marched through Ottawa’s downtown core. The protesters’ sang. Their signs spoke loudly. And the message was clearly that Canadians are concerned about their own economic insecurity. They’re indignant about capitalism’s moral lapses.

One sign read, “I came for change but I’d take money.”  Another offered. “The middle class is being wiped out.” Other signs denounced bank bailouts, corporate greed, and the tarsands. Of course there were signs against Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative Government.
